The Best Hair Products!

Product Reviews / Tuesday, April 12th, 2016

You would think as a hair stylist I would have a drawer over flowing with hair products, but I don’t! I’m actually very liberal with products. I think less is more when it comes to weighing down your freshly shampooed hair. But there are some products I use every single day and that I can’t live without, and  here they are…

Hempz Triple Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner

Hempz Triple Moisture shampoo & conditioner! This stuff is my new obsession! I’ve been using Hempz body lotion for a while now and when I came across their shampoo & conditioner I had to try it. This Triple Moisture shampoo & conditioner does exactly what it says, it packs a ton of moisture into your locks and leaves your hair smelling like a citrus explosion! It kinda smells like grapefruit but its not overwhelming at all. The shampoo lathers up really well, especially for being sulfate free! The conditioner is thick and creamy, just as it should be. I recommend using the conditioner as a mask at least once a week! Just apply a quarter size amount of conditioner to your dry hair for about 20 minutes before getting in the shower, then rinse, shampoo, and condition normally. You can find the shampoo & conditioner duo for $30 in salons.

Matrix So Silver for blondes

Matrix SO SILVER shampoo is my go-to shampoo for blondes! This shampoo is literally purple! That means that it neutralizes any orange, yellow, or brassy tones. This is pretty much an at home toner. Apply this shampoo all over your dry hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes before you get in the shower. Then rinse, shampoo, and condition your hair like normal. Be careful not to use it too often or your hair will start to have a purple cast to it. Want a temporary lilac look? Leave it on dry hair for a couple hours, rinse and condition (don’t shampoo until you want it to start fading out). $15 in salons.

Pureology Color Fanatic 21

Pureology Colour Fanatic Treatment Spray is a product that I use on absolutely everyone! It serves as a cutting lotion, blow dry primer, leave in conditioner, and the list goes on. I love this stuff and I go through a bottle a week! There is no other leave in conditioner that even compares. Pureology hit the nail on the head with this product, it includes their exclusive AntiFadeComplex, Fennel Seed extract, and a natural blend of camelina, coconut and olive oil. You can purchase the 6.7oz bottle for around $26 in salons.
